Do you want your school district to fund your attendance at the SHAPE Colorado Convention?
Try these tips!
Do your research. Before you approach your school district, make sure you have done your research and understand the SHAPE CO Convention’s purpose, goals, and benefits. This will help you make a strong case for why your school district should invest in your attendance.
When you approach your school district, be prepared to answer questions about the Convention, such as its cost, its relevance to your job, and how you will use the information you learn.
When you make your case, be persuasive and enthusiastic. Explain how attending the convention will benefit your students, your school, and your district.
Be persistent. If your school district initially says no, don’t give up. Keep trying to convince them of the value of your attendance.
