Cross curricular activities in Adapted P.E. is a great aide in our students learning on
2 fronts in could be incorporating academic or life skill tasks into P.E. activities and
curriculum. Or incorporating movement, exercise, and health concepts into
academic learning. In this session, Matthew will demonstrate some cross
curricular activities ranging from a giant abacus to a warmup routine that has his
students learning while they exercise. Challenge you to come up with your own
cross curricular activities from pieces of equipment found at goodwill and 5below.
Finally he will share resources that can help our students learn academic material
while getting them moving.
