As we all know, physical activity is crucial for the health and well-being of our students. SHAPE CO is excited to share an upcoming event that can help your school create an active school culture and support students’ overall health. You are invited to the first-ever in-person Active Schools National Summit, which will take place from July 19-21, 2023 at the University of Northern CO (UNC) in Greeley, CO. The theme of this conference is “A Mountain Worth Climbing.” Creating and sustaining an active school culture can be challenging, similar to climbing a mountain. However, we can succeed with the right tools, resources, and connections.
Anyone looking for the best practices and strategies for promoting physical activity in schools should register for the summit. There will be breakout sessions for all stakeholders within a school that embraces physical activity, including teachers (classroom and special area), support staff, administrators, and members of the PTA.
