SHAPE Colorado #PhysEdChopped Challenge is Coming to Convention!
What do you get when you cross a mystery kit of great physical education equipment, a team of health and physical educators, and limited time for building lesson plans and activities? The SHAPE Colorado #PhysEdChopped Challenge! Adapted from the #PhysEdChopped Challenge ran at the SHAPE America National Convention, these amazing teams of health and physical educators who participate, will only have one goal in mind … do you have what it takes to not be CHOPPED!
Gopher will provide equipment to be raffled between each round of the competition to watching participants AND the final prize for each member of the winning team!
Game Guidelines
· Teams of teachers will compete in a three-round, single-elimination tournament.
· Each round will feature a wacky combination of PE equipment.
· The teams will be expected to use all of the equipment to create a game or activity that fits within the theme of each round. Judges will evaluate each activity based on creativity, use of the equipment, and presentation.
· Teams will be “chopped” from the competition at the end of each round until one team is named The #PhysEdChopped Champions at SHAPE Colorado.
· The Winning Team will be named the SHAPE Colorado #PhysEdChopped Champions and each participating team member will receive an award from Gopher!
Registration
10 teams with 4 team members each will be accepted
To sign-up at team: A team captain will need to register the entire time.
Information on the registration requires the following: A team name, captain’s name, twitter handle, email address and the names of the other three members
Don’t have a team but still want to participate? NO PROBLEM! Sign up at the registration table at the convention and we will pair you with others to make a dynamite team no one ever saw coming!

The registration Google Form will close once teams have registered.
The honorary panel of judges are the SHAPE Colorado Board of Directors
Who Can Sign Up?
· We encourage emerging leaders and professional members to create a team and sign up!
(Examples: Universities, School Districts, Elementary/Secondary, Group of Friends, etc.)
Team cheers, team shirts, and team spirit are not mandatory but highly encouraged!
