CDE CoLabs- CSU Pueblo Starts in Three Days – REGISTER NOW!

Teaching and Learning CoLabs coming to a place near you! Register today!

This summer, teachers and leaders are invited to attend the Teaching and Learning CoLabs, a new kind of no-cost event that brings together stakeholders from districts, higher education, professional teaching and other educational organizations, and the Colorado Department of Education. Colorado teachers will have access to interactive professional development sessions to support high quality instruction in English Language Arts, Social Studies,Mathematics, Science, Health, and Physical Education Performing and Visual Arts. The dates and host sites for this summer’s CoLabs are:

 

Schools are encouraged to attend a CoLab in teams, with teachers representing multiple grades and/or content areas. Teachers will receive certificates of attendance for 8 contact hours. Focus content areas for the 2023 Teaching and Learning CoLabs include English language arts, health and physical education, mathematics, science, and computer science, visual and performing arts. Leadership-focused sessions will be provided for principals and other school leaders. For more information, check out the Teaching and Learning CoLabs website.

Register for this summer's Teaching and Learning CoLabs: Thursday, June 1: Grand Junction, hosted by Colorado Mesa University Register Here Wednesday, June 14: Greeley, hosted by the University of Northern Colorado Register Here Friday, June 23: Pueblo, hosted by CSU-Pueblo Register Here These are one-day, no-cost, multi-disciplinary regional professional development opportunities developed in partnership with Colorado's higher education institutions, professional teaching organizations (SHAPE Colorado), and CDE. This year's content areas include ELA, math, health, physical education, science, computer science, social studies, visual and performing arts, and school leadership. Schools are encouraged to attend a CoLab in teams, with teachers representing multiple grades and content areas. We are collaborating with SHAPE Colorado to identify engaging speakers for health and physical education and are planning on 6 breakout sessions to support physical education and 6 sessions to support health education.
